Description

A fine quality late Regency dropdial fusee wall clock. A mahogany case with choice veneers and the original side carvings. Brass case inlays and an opening base door. A 12" convex painted dial with blued steel 'moon' hands. A cast brass bezel to the convex glass. An 8-day duration fusee mechanism with shaped plates.

W J Foster of Guildford is recorded in Loomes' 'Clockmakers of The World' book as working in 1828.
