Small Mahogany Bracket Clock

19th century
Description

A small, late 18th Century style timepice bracket clock. It has a mahogany break arch case with a brass carrying handle, brass edges and brass ogee bracket feet. The bevel edge glass has a heavy brass bezel, enclosing a convex enamel dial, marked Tempus Fugit (Latin for Time Flies). The 8 day movement has a lever platform. This contains a retailers label for Percy Webster, who was an important horological dealer in the early 20th Century. C.1890

Current Condition

The case retains its original finish, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
