Description

A very impressive and good quality Late English bracket clock, by Gillett and Johnston of Croydon. It has a mahogany arch top case, with a traditional inlaid front panel, adjustable brass ball feet and a thick bevel edge glass and a painted convex dial. The 8 day movement has substantial plates and twin chain driven fusees and strikes the hours and halves on a gong. It is stamped on the reverse with the clock number. Overall a really handsome clock. (England, c. 1910)

Current Condition

The case retains its original high finish, the brass has been polished and lacquered and the dial has been professionally restored. The movement has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
