Geo III Oak & Mahogany Longcase Clock with Moon Dial

Description

An impressive oak and mahogany longcase clock by Robert Wiggan of Colne, Lancs. He is listed as working there from around 1800.

The nice quality case is in good unrestored condition. There is a little bit of molding missing from the hood and the back feet have been replaced.

The 30 hr plated movement looks to be complete and comes with a weight and pendulum but does need a clean and re-commissioning. It has a most attractive dial displaying the phases of the moon to the arch.

The maximum dimensions are:

231cm(91") high

26cm(10") deep

59cm(23") wide
