Mahogany and Inlaid Mantel Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

A small Edwardian soilid mahogany cased mantel clock, inlaid with boxwood stringing and satinwood inlays. It has a break arch top case, with brass side handles. The convex glass has a bevel edge and the enamel dial is signed by the original retailer "Curtis and Hurspool, To The King".

It has a French 8 day movement with a leverpatform escapement. (England, c. 1905)

17.50cm wide 23.00cm high 9.00cm deep (6.89 inches wide 9.06 inches high 3.54 inches deep)

Provenance

Curtis and Horspool were suppliers to The King, Edward VII

Current Condition

The case has been re-polished and wax finished, the movement has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
