Lenzkirch are regarded as being one of the Worlds leading clock makers and this clock epitomises the quality of engineering for which they are renowned.
The Romanesque style case is made from solid oak and retains it's original French-polished finish with a very deep, rich patina. It has front and rear opening doors (both lockable with the original key) with opening side inspection covers.
The 8 day, three-train movement strikes the Westminster Chime on the quarters and the Hour. Each hammer strikes on a seperate, heavy coil giving a superb tone to the strike.
The brass dial has a silvered, engraved chapter ring with Roman numerals and flleur-de-lis,and with gilded spandrels. There are subsiduary Regulator and "Strikr/Silent" dials.
The clock retains it's original, huge, winding key.
