Large Striking Brass Carriage Clock

19th century
Description

A large brass striking carriage clock, having an oval glass top panel and bevel glass sides. It has a white enamel dial with stylised Arabic numerals. It has an 8 day movement with a lever platform that stikes the hours and halves on a gong. Made by Richard & Co. of Paris and London. (France, c. 1890)

10.00cm wide 18.00cm high 8.00cm deep (3.94 inches wide 7.09 inches high 3.15 inches deep)

Current Condition

The brass case has been polished and lacquer so it will not tarnish, the movement has been seriviced and is guaranteed for 12 months. The are some fine hairline marks to the enamel dial ( please see close-up photo of dial)
