Oak Longcase Clock

18th century
Description

A small, well proportioned solid oak long case clock, having a flat top hood, square dial and a long trunk door with a moulded edge. The brass dial has corner spandrels and a silvered chapter ring and is signed "homas Nichols, Oundle". The clock has a 19th Century 8 day bell striking movement having beeen converted from the original 30 hour movement. (England, c. 1770)

46.00cm wide 194.00cm high 24.00cm deep (18.11 inches wide 76.38 inches high 9.45 inches deep)

Current Condition

The case has been re-polished and wax finished, the dial has been professionally restored and the movement has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
