Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.

The case is of a wonderfull honey-coloured walnut with ebonised embellishment. It has fluted columns to the door, with corinthian capitals to the top and tulip capitals below. The quarter-panelled backboard has a burr walnut fielded panel to it's centre. The whole case retains it's original French polished finish and has a beautiful warm, rich patina.

The high quality, latchplate, 8 day movement strikes on th half-hour and the hour. It has just been fully serviced by our BHI registered staff.
