Large Mahogany Bracket Clock

19th century
Description

An imposing mahogany bracket clock, having a carved scroll top, an 8" dial and an acathus scroll base. The sides have brass Gothic arch frets and brass ring carrying handles. The enamel dial is signed by the maker, Smale of Kingsbridge, Devon.

It has an 8 day five pillar double fusee movement that strikes the hours on a bell. (England, c. 1840 to c. 1850)

35.00cm wide 48.00cm high 17.00cm deep (13.78 inches wide 18.90 inches high 6.69 inches deep)

Current Condition

The case retains its original finish and has been revived, the movement has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
