Aesthetic Period Cermaic Panel Carriage Clock

Description

A very decorative, Aesthetic Period carriage clock dating the the end of the 19th Century. It has a brass case with corner pillars and a reeded carrying handle with a bevel egde glass top window. The sides and dial have hand decorated enamel panels depicting butterflies amoungst foliage. The 8 day movement has a cylinder platform with an alarm mechanism. (France, c. 1890)

8.00cm wide 15.00cm high 6.50cm deep (3.15 inches wide 5.91 inches high 2.56 inches deep)

Current Condition

The brass case has been polished and lacquered and the movemnet has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
