Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
A convex enamelled dial with black Roman numerals and nicely cut hands. It is signed "Romain Darnis".
The 8 day, weight driven movement strikes on the half-hours and the hour on a bell. It is a very crisp sound and repeats approx 1min later.
The clock has just been completely overhauled by our BHI registered staff.
The clocks sits on a bracket and measures approx. 60"(150c.m.) overall length.
