Georgian Mahogany Longcase Clock, Evill, Bath

Description

A handsome mahogany longcase by William Evill of Bath, Somerset. He is listed as working there from 1760-1790.

The case is in nicely figured mahogany and is a lovely colour. It has had a few minor veneer/molding chips but is generally in good condition. The 8 day movement is clean and in good working order and the dial is in nice condition with no rubbing to the silvering of the chapter ring. All in all a very handsome clock.

The maximum dimensions are:

213cm(84") high

46cm(18") wide

25cm(10") deep
