Vienna Wall Clock

19th century
Description

A superb, black and walnut, double weight driven, Vienna wall clock, made by Gustaf Becker, C1878, with white porcelain dial, Roman numerals, strikes the hours anf half hours on a gong. The backplate bears the makers stamp together with the number of the movement and gold medal insignia. The case is serpentine shape of light colour and ebonised contrasts. The burr walnut veneers exceptional. Overhaulled and guaranteed for 12 months. Size approx. 45 x 14 x 6 ins.
