London Made William IV Rosewood Library Timepiece Bracket Clock

19th century
Description

A fine rosewood cased Library bracket clock, having a shallow Gothic Arch top case with a step moulded base, and a rear glazed door. It has a circular,silvered ,brass dial, engraved by the Maker, "William Johnson, 3, Hercules Passage, Threadneedle St. London".

It has an 8 day pendulum movement with a holdfast to secure the pendulum during travel. (England, c. 1835)

24.00cm wide 27.00cm high 22.00cm deep (9.45 inches wide 10.63 inches high 8.66 inches deep)

Provenance

William Johnson is listed as a maker 1832-1881

Current Condition

The case retains its original finish that has been revived and waxed. The rear door has had some veneer repairs. The movement has been serviced and is guaraneed for 12 months.

20% deposit will secure this item for up to three months
