Mahogany Longcase Clock by James Ivory Dundee

Description

A handsome 18th Cent mahogany longcase clock by James Ivory of Dundee. He is listed as working there from 1762, after previously working in London.

It has a nice slim mahogany case and stands on small bracket feet.

The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a smart brass dial with subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture (not working) and cast brass spandrels.

The clock is in good un-restored condition and the movement is running and keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

221cm(87") high

51cm(20") wide

25cm(10") deep
