ActFurniture LTD has dated this Arts Crafts Oak Bookcase to the 1920s.
This is an independent date report produced by Sellingantiques using its own proprietary system. The process uses the photographs shown on this page. The system is never told the date the dealer has declared. This report shows that the two dates corroborate.
It is headed by a shaped arched cornice supported on swept brackets, with a frieze centred by a carved triple-strap motif, and stands on shaped stile feet with arched cut-outs joined by a shaped apron.
The oak displays a lovely figured grain and a deep, rich dark colour with a lovely aged patina.
Presented in good condition commensurate with age. A very desirable Arts & Crafts oak bookcase of narrow proportions, ideal for an alcove, and a perfect addition to any living room, study, landing or hallway.
