Description

Antique Victorian side cupboard in pitch pine, a charming and well-proportioned piece of good quality, showcasing fine craftsmanship and a wonderfully figured timber.

The pair of panelled doors open to reveal three shelves, each finished with a scalloped leather edging decorated with gilt-tooled fleur-de-lis. The doors are fitted with a brass lock and flush bolts.

The cupboard has a deep moulded cornice above and stands on a plinth base raised on turned bun feet. The back is of traditional pine plank construction.

The pitch pine displays a stunning, bold figured grain and a warm, rich honey colour with a lovely mellow patina.

Presented in good condition commensurate with age. A very desirable pitch pine cupboard of compact proportions, a perfect addition to any hallway, kitchen, bedroom or living room.
