A pair of original cast brass table lamps from the 1920 period brings a neoclassical style into the home. These items display a warm brass colour with a polished metallic finish and pleated cream fabric shades. Each lamp stands on detailed scroll feet with a turned baluster shaft resembling a traditional candlestick column, and includes rewired old style fabric cable. Measuring 54 cm high, 31 cm wide, and 31 cm deep, these lamps function well on a sideboard top to provide functional illumination in a living room, hallway, or study. Their classic English country house design complements traditional interior schemes while offering versatile placement on various wooden furniture pieces throughout a property.

FAQs

Candlestick table lamps originated as electrified adaptations of 18th and 19th-century candleholders, preserving the turned baluster silhouette while accommodating modern internal wiring.

Traditional cast brass lamps are produced by pouring molten metal into sand or clay moulds, resulting in a solid, heavy form that is subsequently hand-chased, assembled, and polished.

Authentic cast brass fixtures display substantial physical weight, distinct seam lines from historical casting processes, threaded central rods, and natural surface patination in unpolished recesses.

Brass table lamps are commonly arranged symmetrically on sideboards, consoles, or bedside tables to balance proportions and introduce warm metallic tones into a room scheme.

Dust surfaces regularly with a dry microfibre cloth and treat unlacquered metal with a specialized brass polish, ensuring electrical fittings and fabric shades remain untouched by liquid agents.
