Description

A 17th-century joint stool made from English walnut. This rare survivor has a single-piece top with a thumb-moulded edge, scratch-moulded rails, and column-and-baluster turned legs joined by a peripheral stretcher. It is in excellent original condition, having just a small repair to one bottom square, and features a wonderful colour and patination.
