Small 19th Cent Quarter Chiming Longcase Clock

Description

A nice small longcase clock with superb quality quarter chiming movement. It is by the Camera Kuss of New Oxford Street, London. They were active there around 1880.

The case is mahogany and very good quality.

The superb quality movement chimes the quarters on 4 gongs and the hours on a further gong. The smart brass dial has gilt spandrels, a seconds dial and the all important strike/silent selector. The movement has recently been serviced and is in excellent order

The maximum dimensions are:

c209m(82") high

47cm(18.5") wide

33cm(13") deep
