Beautiful Chinese Red Lacquer Cabinet

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a lovely early 20th century Chinese red lacquer cabinet with beautiful hand painted designs throughout the piece of beautiful birds in foliage and Chinese urns, vases and scrolls. The cabinet has wonderful rich warmth to the red lacquer and the hand painted detail is expertly crafted.

This has the original pressed brass hinges, doorplates and handles and has a great storage capacity inside the cabinet.

This is in excellent useable condition. The back right leg has had a good sound repair which can be seen in photo 9. This is really sound and solid so won’t be an issue in the future.

The interior has a large central shelf with lower storage into the base of the cabinet.

The sides of the cabinet are as attractively painted as the front and top and the cabinet feet are mounted with solid brass shoes to the base.

This is a very useful piece for any situation measuring 128 cms high by 86 wide by 43 cms deep overall.
