Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian silver clocks were produced between 1901 and 1910 and are known for combining neoclassical elegance with refined floral or scroll engraving. They typically feature compact rectangular silver cases, carrying handles, bracket feet, and white enamel dials with Roman or Arabic numerals.

These timepieces were commonly constructed with a hallmarked sterling silver outer casing over a brass internal frame, featuring a glass lens and a white enamel or porcelain dial face.

Authentic pieces feature British silver hallmarks indicating the assay office, silver purity mark, and date letter corresponding to the Edwardian era (19011910). In addition, genuine enamel dials display precise painted numerals and period-appropriate mechanical movements.

An antique silver clock works well as a focal accent on a living room mantelpiece, a curated bookshelf, or an executive office desk, adding texture and historic interest to modern or transitional spaces.

Dust the exterior regularly with a soft microfiber cloth and clean the silver using a non-abrasive silver polishing cloth, avoiding liquid polishes near the clock face or movement. Mechanical movements require periodic servicing by a qualified horologist to maintain accurate timekeeping.
