L.M.S Rare Railway Fusee Dial Wall Clock, Gorgeous Condition

Clockwise is delighted to present to you another stunning and lovingly restored railway clock for your consideration, with many more railway clocks coming soon. This is only the second example of this maker and highly desirable style I have seen in two years. This fine eight day fusee chain-driven movement with anchor escapement and rectangular plates has shaped shoulders and cut-outs to the bottom plates, with turned pillars, as was typical in the 1870''s. It has just been fully dismantled, restored and cleaned and as such benefits from my three year guarantee.
 
The original dial is written ''John Smith & Sons, Midland Clock Works, Queen St, Derby''. John Smith is still trading today and they are clockmakers of the highest calibre dating back to 1856.
 
The oak case has two side doors and a bottom door with working replacement lock and the stunning case has enjoyed a full refurbishment also and the correct brass L.M.S brass plaque is located to the right side of the clock. A pol...
