A charming traditional Welsh six-plank coffer, dating from c1700 displaying wonderful country craftsmanship and exceptional character.

Constructed in solid Elm, this attractive coffer features a beautifully carved frieze to the front, adding decorative appeal. It has developed a superb rich colour and deep natural patina through generations of use, giving it the warmth and authenticity so sought after in period Welsh furniture.

Of particularly desirable proportions, the coffer has a good height, making it both practical and versatile. Ideal as a blanket chest, hall coffer, or coffee table, it offers generous storage while serving as a striking focal point in both traditional and contemporary interiors. It has a thumb moulded edge to the top and typical chip carved edges to the sides.
