Description

This is a beautiful example of the Royal Worcester nautilus shell vase in good quality hard paste porcelain, hand painted in wonderful vibrant colours. The shell is raised on naturalistic, organic coral that rises from the sea bed of shells and plants painted in a beautiful colour palette. The circular base is decorated with scallop shell and seaweed and the shell itself has a striking hand gilded open mouthed lizard to the rim.

This is stamped with the Royal Worcester mark to the base and impressed U8 4/94.

It is in perfect condition with no damage or restoration and remarkably good gilding.

The piece measures 23 cms in height 18 cms wide and is 12 cms in diameter at the base.
