Description

A classic Lalique opalescent glass vase from the "Renoncules" series, featuring a satin-finished upper section and a sculpted lower band of stylised flowers. The design reflects Lalique's approach to natural motifs, reduced into rhythmic and balanced relief.

The contrast between the frosted surface and the more translucent, slightly blue-toned base is characteristic of the model and enhances the sculptural clarity of the decoration. The proportions are well judged, giving the vase a stable and visually confident presence.

Marked to the underside "Lalique France", confirming post-1945 production. René Lalique is recognised for redefining decorative glass in the early twentieth century, building on his earlier success in jewellery design.

A well-established Lalique model, appreciated for its clarity of form, decorative impact and enduring appeal among collectors of French glass.
