Arts and Crafts Influenced Striking Carriage Clock

Description

A stunning gilt cased carriage clock, hving an "Anglaise" style case, with reeded handle and case bands. The dial has a gilt engine-turned dial mask with an unusual Arts and Crafts styled dial with blue Artabic numerals. It has an 8 day hour gong striking movement with a lever platform. Originally retailed by Depree of Exeter .(France, 1890 to 1900)

9.50cm wide 16.00cm high 8.00cm deep (3.74 inches wide 6.30 inches high 3.15 inches deep)

Current Condition

The case is in good condition, having been re-gilded and lacquered a number of years ago. The movement has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months

20% deposit will secure this item for up to three months
