A rare silver vesta and sealing wax combination from the elegant Edwardian era. This unusual piece is of elongated rectangular form, with a hinged lid containing the striker at one end. At the other end is an aperture containing the sealing wax column, with space for a removable pin to facilitate moving the wax stick down for use. The inside of the vesta compartment is gilded. A wonderful, interesting piece of silver desk ware and a great collector''s item.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits. There are a couple of pinprick dimples, commensurate with age and use.
