This is a beautifully carved Mule Chest with the benefit of 2 drawers rather than the more common single long drawer, the coffer has detailed carved panels mostly based on the tree of life patterns however on the top we have a very playful Green man

This is a lovely old piece, and it is in remarkably good condition for its age with some very old repairs, inside the chest is clean, the coffer is 38” long, 20” deep and 31” high

The piece features a hinged lid with a carved top panel, detailed relief scrollwork and geometric patterns across the front, and two small bottom drawers fitted with drop handles and keyholes. It stands on block feet, showing old repairs consistent with its age. The chest measures 78 cm high, 98 cm wide, and 52 cm deep.
