Ships Clock Fusee Glasgow Maker 1900

1900 - 1920
Description

Hi

I have for sale a very heavy English fusee ship's clock, sold with a fully serviced chain-driven fusee movement by Kelvin & Jones of Glasgow.

The Case

The case is in solid turned mahogany; it is 19cm across x depth of 12cm and in good original condition with a cast hinged thick bevelled glass front door.

The Dial

The dial is in good original condition in white enamel at 14cm across, and the clock also retains its original black/blue spade hands.

The Movement

The movement is an eight-day timepiece; she has been fully serviced by me with a new spring added, and runs faultlessly over eight days, a really heavy movement and running via the original chain.

Overall, a very original clock which contains all of its original features. This is quite a rare find these days.

If you require any further information, please ask. I am happy to send more photographs or can video the clock running, if desired. You are also very welcome to come and view the clock in person, which I would be happy to recommend as the photographs really can’t do it justice.

As with all my clocks, this one is sold with a ‘back-to-base’ 3-month guarantee. I also offer future clock servicing, which I carry out personally at a heavily discounted rate.

I will post worldwide.
