A fine un-glazed porcelain or Bisque Mantel clock by Courvoisier of Paris.
Bell striking on the hours and half hours, a glazed rear door to view the movement. The dial is convex and the hands are gilt, beautifully cut and the originals. The shaped bezel is solid polished brass. The classical subject of a clock on fine fluted column being unvieled by the two ''Putti'' and topped by two doves (symbol of love). The size and depth makes this a good fit for most mantels. Better viewed in real life !
