The World is Made of Glass Ltd. has dated this Georgian Facet Stem Glass to the 18th Century.
The glass is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the foot commensurate with some 250 years of use. It has a rough pontil mark on the underside of the foot.
The glass has an ovoid-shaped bowl measuring 5.2 cm (2.1 inches) in diameter at the rim.
8 cm (2.7 inches) in diameter. The glass is 11.3 cm (4.5 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. The foot has a distinct shear mark which looks like a small protuberance to the edge, a good sign that it hasn't been ground.
English lead glass weighing in at 120 g. (~ 4 1/2 oz.).
