Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco perfume bottles from the 1920s are characterised by press-moulded glass techniques, geometric forms, integrated stoppers, and the decorative application of coloured patination or enamel staining to emphasize relief designs.

These vessels were typically crafted from demi-crystal or flint glass, shaped using metal moulds, and finished with applied sepia or monochromatic washes to accentuate surface details.

Authentic pieces generally feature precise moulded signatures such as R. LALIQUE, crisp detail in the relief design, hand-ground stoppers tailored to the specific bottle neck, and consistent weight typical of high-quality glass formulation.

A vintage glass scent bottle can be positioned on a mirrored vanity tray, displayed within a glass-fronted cabinet, or placed on a bedroom dressing table alongside neutral stone accessories.

Glass bottles with original patination or staining should be dusted gently using a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid immersing the item in water or using solvent-based detergents, as moisture can strip away the historical applied stain.
