The symbol, resembles an arrowhead and has been used in heraldry since the 16th century to signify government or War Department property. The gorgeous oak case has a fantastic patina with lower and side door, stabilising hook and turnkey lock to the lower door. The brass bezel is in excellent condition, locks into its swivel tab and frames the twelve inch dial beautifully.
