Victorian Historicist enamelled glass refers to 19th-century European glassware that revived Renaissance, Baroque, and medieval forms. Manufacturers such as Lobmeyr in Vienna combined traditional vessel shapes, like the Romer, with intricate hand-painted vitreous enamel decoration.

These vessels were typically free-blown or pattern-moulded from tinted glass, such as forest green or olive soda glass. The decorative motifs were applied using crushed glass pigments suspended in oil, which were subsequently fired in a kiln to permanently fuse the enamel to the body.
