The bases are raised and stepped and each is fitted with the original blue cut glass liner. To the front of both is a charming heraldic armorial. The original use may have been for cream but due to the good capacity, the pails lend themselves to a variety of table uses, such as mint sauce, cranberry, mayonnaise or parmesan.
