An exceptionally rare advertising 19th century Scottish Glass Whisky decanter dating to c1870.
The decanter has its original facet ball cut stopper.

Samuel Dow Limited was established in 1807 and the company was known for its range of blended scotch whiskies and its Public Houses around the city of Glasgow. Whisky blends included Samual Dow's specially selected blended scotch whisky and Dow's Pigeon Blend.

This is an exceptionally rare piece of Scottish Glasgow advertising which we are confident won’t be found elsewhere.

Condition
Excellent, age-related wear as shown. A tiny pinprick on the poring rim, a few internal stains which can be cleaned. The enamel is in excellent condition. No chips cracks or restoration.
