Technical Description

An excellent early 19th century Balustroid ale glass dating to c1800.

It has a bucket bowl engraved with hop and barley in saltire. Ball knopped stem above a conical foot.

The bucket bowl is a rare form on an ale glass, the majority being round funnel and conical.

Date & Origin

England, c1800. Period of George III.

Condition

Excellent, age-related wear as shown.
