A fine pair of elegant 19th century French Empire gilt bronze caryatid type classically inspired candlesticks in the manner of Claude Galle (1759-1815). Three classical female herm form heads with vase shaped candle cups and fine quality bobeches sitting on a stylised foliate band and caryatid style footed tapered stem. Circular form bases cast with classical Empire period anthemion designs.
