Antique Silver Mustard Pot.

Description

Handsome, Scottish, Geo.IV silver mustard pot; of circular "drum" shape with a plain body and a fine thick gadroon border. The hinged lid has a lovely "shell" thumbpiece and bears a crest. The interior is gilded and also contains a blue glass liner. This is a good size example, of well-above average weight and displays all the pointers of a high quality piece, good hinge, entirely solid silver base, and nice substantial border and thumbpiece.
