French Red Tortoiseshell Mantel Clock

Description

A small and well proportioned French mantel clock in Loius XVth style. It has a tortoiseshell veneered case, with gilt ormolu applied decoration. It has an enamel dial, and an 8 day striking movement that sounds the hours and halves on a gong. Made by A D Mougin of Paris, and originally retailed by The Army and Navy Store. The movement is stamped 43125 A&N

Current Condition

Case revived, the movement has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months
