The World is Made of Glass Ltd. has dated this Georgian Apothecary Bottle to the 18th Century.
The bottle is in excellent condition for its age.
It has a rough pontil mark on the base.
The bottle is rectangular-shaped measuring 4 cm (1,6 inches) in width and 9 cm (3.6 inches) in height. The bottle is polychrome enameled with a cartouche of blue leaves on either side of the legend "OEL OVOR" and surmounted by a crown and embellished with three disks. There are no chips, cracks, or any obvious evidence of restoration to the glass. There is some light rubbing of the enamel at certain points. The stopper is of spherical form and is later than the bottle but is a good fit and looks the part.
Continental soda glass. It weighs 90 g. (~ 3 oz.).
