L.M.S Fusee Railway Wall Dial Clock, Exquisite

Clockwise is delighted to present to you another stunning and lovingly restored railway clock for your consideration.
 
This is a very fine eight day fusee clock dating from circa 1880. The movement benefits from an anchor escapement and rectangular plates and has just been serviced so benefits from my three year guarantee.
 
The 12 inch dial is in excellent condition and bears the writing ‘L.M.S. John Smith & Sons, Midland Clock Works, Queen St, Derby, 8334’. There is evidence of the dial having born the earlier signage of ‘L.Y.R 878’.
 
Original hands and a locking brass bezel compliment the overall appearance.
 
The oak case is in beautiful condition, being of a standard two-piece design with pegs connecting both elements. There is a side door and a lower door with a turn-key lock and there is a brass plaque to the side bearing the mark ‘L.M.S 8334’ (with evidence it has been there for decades).
