Description:

A fine quality antique English pair of oak joint stools, constructed from 17th century oak timbers, during the early 20th Century, circa 1930, displaying a stunning colour and patination, in excellent condition.  This is antique pair of oak stools which have been constructed in the traditional manner, during the early part of the 20th century from 17th century timbers.  The pair of pair of stools incorporate single-plank overhanging moulded tops, with a decorative moulded and shaped reeded friezes below.  The pair of oak joint stools are raised on four elegant protruding baluster ring-turned legs, which are united by bar stretchers (for additional strength), terminating terminate on block feet. The pair of stools have been made with traditional method, incorporating mortise and tenon joints, secured by oak pegs.

Condition Report:

A fine quality antique English pair of oak joint stools, constructed from 17th century oak timbers, during the early 20th Century, circa 1930, displaying a stunning colour and patination, in excellent condition.  The pair of joints stools have been cleaned and wax-polished by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop; therefore, the colour and patination is of an excellent standard.  There are no breaks or damage to the frames or legs. The pair of oak stools have been made with traditional mortice and tenon joints, secured by wooden pegs, from solid oak.  Nominal old use marks to the tops and leading edges, but nothing significant considering their age. The oak stools are a true pair, which were constructed at the same time, they have not been matched together.  This pair of oak tables are well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
