Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This pair of Regency Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester porcelain Campana urn vases dates to approximately 1820. The pieces are finished with apple green grounds, white painted lower bodies decorated with hanging floral swags, and extensive raised paste gilding including gadrooned rims and square pedestal bases picked out in gold and bronze. Each vase has classical loop handles terminating in gilt ram heads and features a central hand-painted topographical landscape reserve framed in ornate gold scrollwork, showing scenes including Denbigh Castle. The photograph also shows red script factory and title markings, a crack to the base of one handle, and minor edge chips on the bases. Measuring 30 cm high and 21 cm wide, these items stand on square plinths and suit display on a mantelpiece in a traditional interior setting.

Flight, Barr & Barr represents a notable period of the Worcester porcelain factory operating between 1813 and 1840. Topographical vases from this era feature hand-painted, detailed views of specific landscapes, ruins, or country estates set within gilded framed panels.

These pieces were produced using soft-paste or hybrid bone china formulations coated in a lead glaze. The decoration was rendered with overglaze enamel pigments and finished with burnished mercury gilding.

Authentic examples typically bear impressed marks such as FBB under a crown, along with printed or handwritten factory scripts on the underside detailing the address or specific scene depicted. The precise gilding technique and enamel execution also serve as key indicators.

Urn vases can be placed symmetrically on a fireplace mantelpiece, console table, or sideboard to create a focal point. They integrate with classical architecture, dark timber furniture, or minimalist interiors where their colour and form stand out.

Dust the porcelain lightly using a dry, soft microfibre cloth or camel-hair brush. Avoid water immersion and abrasive chemical cleaners, as moisture can penetrate unglazed areas and chemicals can permanently erode overglaze gilding and enamels.
