Victorian Burr Walnut Gothic Revival Pot Cupboard

Circa 1870

A handsome mid-Victorian Gothic Revival pot cupboard, finely crafted in richly figured burr walnut. The cabinet features a single frieze drawer above an arched open recess and a cupboard door with lancet-arched panelled detailing. Flanked by engaged turned columns and raised on a plinth base, the proportions are balanced and the craftsmanship exemplary.
