Georg Jensen founded his silversmithy in Copenhagen in 1904, pioneering a distinct aesthetic that combined Art Nouveau organic forms with functionalism, later transitioning into modernist and minimalist designs.

Authentic items are crafted from high-grade sterling silver, often featuring hand-hammered surfaces, sculptural handles, and precise integration of metalwork techniques developed over a century.

Authentic pieces bear official maker marks, designer ciphers, and silver purity hallmarks such as .925S or standard Danish assay marks, alongside characteristic weight and craftsmanship quality.

These pieces can be displayed within glass cabinets, used functionally during formal dining occasions, or paired with minimalist tableware to highlight their sculptural metallic finish.

Preservation requires gentle cleaning with specialized silver cloths, avoiding harsh abrasive dips, and storing items in tarnish-resistant cloth to protect the metal finish.
