Aramis Antiques has dated these Royal Doulton Art Nouveau Vases to the 1880s.
The roses and foliage are set against a mottled background of blues and mauves, with the colour deepening towards the bases, for a more impactful effect. A typical Art Nouveau sinuous border runs around the neck of the vases. The bases are stamped for Royal Doulton and bear two potters’ marks, LB for LF Bowen and a separate R probably for Frank W Reader. So it is likely that two artists were involved with the creation of the vases. Excellent condition. No damage at all and beautiful colours and glaze.
