Dickinsons Antiques has dated this Burr Amboyna Cabinet Chest to the 17th Century.
The cabinet features a prominent elm cross-grained cornice above a pair of doors that open to reveal a delightful arrangement of short drawers surrounding a central door, which, when opened, reveals an additional six small drawers.

An early use of Amboyna on a cabinet that reflects the innovative styles of the émigré cabinet makers supplying the Williamite Court.
Of a good colour and condition, having later handles and bun feet, but of the correct style and a few small repairs to the cross-grain mouldings.
